Meet Yumi

I understand how overwhelming it can feel to envision a beautiful home but have no time to bring it to life. My approach was shaped by living across cultures, moving continents, and creating a sense of home through every transition.

Born and raised in Japan, I was influenced early on by the calm, intentional nature of minimalist design. After moving to North America in 2001, I learned how deeply a well-designed home impacts confidence, comfort, and daily flow, especially while building a demanding career in a new country.

My design journey began in 2009, renovating single-family homes across Vancouver. Later, as a senior designer and stylist with a renowned Danish brand, I worked closely with clients who wanted exceptional interiors without spending their limited time researching furniture, managing deliveries, or second-guessing every choice.

This experience inspired me to create YU+ME Design Inc. in 2018, a studio for clients who value refined design but prefer a streamlined, guided experience.
